1. User data, feedback & Crash Reports
uman.ai stores users data such as username/email, first name, last name and the name of the workspace users are in.
As a part of the functionality of the platform the saved content, comments, collections and topics users interact which are also persisted. To further improve the experience, anonymised user behaviour data (interactions with uman.ai platform), crash reports and user-initiated feedback are also stored.
2. Contents of saved items
uman.ai acts like a search engine to power Google Search suggestions. That's why the content saved by our users is stored securely on our EU data centres (ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certified). This powers the recommendation algorithm that operates in the browser extension.
3. No search history, no browsing history
Let's be clear here. uman.ai does not store any browsing or search history whatsoever. All data captured is explicitly opted in for, in accordance with EU legislation. uman.ai makes an analysis of a Google search query and discards it immediately afterwards. This analysis is used to suggest the items in Google Search. The content of the search query is discarded afterwards. Similar to any other search engine, it is very common practice and it is impossible to build one without it.
4. Topic interests
It is possible to publish your interest or affinity with a certain topic in uman.ai. This interest score is calculated based on the user's saved content. uman.ai users can choose to turn these interests on or off as they like. The list of interests is static and users have full control over what interests they choose to publish.
